Leadership Team

Rhianna Burroughs - Principal

I am honored and humbled to be part of the Angevine community and BVSD. When I started my career in education fifteen years ago, it was because of a drive and determination to serve in diverse school communities and create an environment of excellence for all students no matter their culture, language or background. As a teacher and administrator I’ve strived to create a school environment that is safe for all students, and honors them for their unique identities and perspectives while supporting them all to achieve their greatest potential.

I am a Colorado native, grew up in the Westminster area, and attended Jeffco public schools. I was a student athlete through high school and attended Regis University for undergraduate and University of Denver for my master’s degree. My husband, Bishop, is an educator and works with middle school students as well. I am a proud mom and expecting grandma (baby coming Oct. 2023). I love watching sports (Nuggets & Broncos!), spending time with family and friends and occasionally shooting some hoops.

Juan Sauceda - Assistant Principal

Students, Parents, & Stakeholders

My name is Juan Sauceda. I was born in Denver, CO where I grew up with my loving parents and six siblings. The 2023-2024 school year will mark my 23rd year in public education. As an educator, I am passionate in my pursuit to ensure all students have the tools to achieve high academic success, as well as the guidance to fulfill their personal goals. To achieve this, I will strive to create a culture that promotes positive and respectful relationships among all members of the school and community.

I currently reside in Westminster, CO. I have two children, Juan Jr. who is 21 years old and attending college at UCCS and Audriana who is 19, and will be starting her second year at the University of New Mexico. I have been in a relationship with my amazing girlfriend Rori for ten years. Together we raised my children, as well as her three children, my step kids.  In our free time, we enjoy traveling, going camping, fishing, and attending sporting events. I am genuinely excited to begin my journey as an administrator at Angevine Middle School. I look forward to getting to know each of you. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this great community.

Alberto Martinez - Assistant Principal

Saludos a todos,

I’m quite excited to be a part of the Angevine and Lafayette community. I was drawn to education because I want to help create an environment within our schools that fosters creativity, community and high academic achievement.

I am the proud son of immigrants from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. We moved around a bit when I was little but we eventually settled down in rural western Oklahoma. Since graduating from University, I’ve explored the world and tried my luck in different fields such as programming, land management and law enforcement to name a few but I always keep returning to education. Once a teacher, always a teacher.
